The first picture in the sequence is from before we started the job, the one in the middle was taken during. This is a good example of how sometimes we sand or “cut into” the floor at a 45 degree angle. Usually we work with the grain but certain circumstances require us to work in this manner – if the floor boards haven’t been sanded before, if there’s deep scratching or if there’s a large layer of wax/polish/lacquer or even dirt on the floor.
The warming, homely look was achieved with Bona Traffic Silk Matt. It gives a high level of long lasting protection but has a clear, natural look. It is also very easy to maintain.
